Dear Charlotte, Roxanna and Anita,
I am sad to hear the news that Rhonda passed away; comforted that many of you were there with her.
My last encounter with Rhonda was at the CWGL public symposium last March 6 where she raise the non-negotiability of women's rights in the context of the controversy around AI and Mozzam Begg that Gita raised. My first encounter with her was when I wrote her an overly enthusiastic letter volunteering to be an intern as she prepared for the Tokyo tribunal. In between I have been inspired by her legal brillance, humility and courage. She has contributed much to the women's movement and we will sorely miss her. I wish I can be present at the memorial for her in September.
Hugs to all, Jane
